Nordstrom, Yorkdale Shopping Centre
The 3rd of our program work with Nordstrom, the undertaking consisted of completing both exterior and interior improvements to a new three story retail building which occupies approximately 198,000 square feet. The exterior is fronted by a large glass curtain wall which proudly displays the interior retail areas and in true Nordstrom fashion, makes an astounding impression before even entering the store. The interior consists of three floors and is separated into different departments with boutique areas for specific designers. In addition to the retail areas, and similar to the other Nordstrom locations Govan Brown has built, the Yorkdale location is supported by 3 separate restaurants and cafés within the store. The staff is supported by special security systems, back of house area and audio/visual installations.
