In 2017, Govan Brown was retained by Purdue Pharma to complete the renovation of Tower 1 of their large Pickering facility. The tower, which is comprised of four floors, is made up of approximately 35,000sf of office space and a cafeteria area. The first floor, which is currently hoarded off from the attached facility, is home to a fully functioning cafeteria and servery area with front- and back-of-house amenities. The ground floor is also home to open office workstations, various meeting rooms, a large board room, café area, and an eye-catching reception area with a staggering light fixture. The highly collaborative nature seen on the first floor is continued throughout with the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floors hosting similar open office workstations, various meeting rooms, lounges, and huddle rooms. Safety has been a large concern for the client and as such, Govan Brown has undertaken an extensive clearance process to suit the needs of the client and clear all personnel visiting site.
