Golder & Associates
The Golder project was a renovation of 4 floors in the Scotiabank Tower in downtown Calgary. The space includes open and private offices, meeting rooms, boardroom, quiet room and an open cafeteria lounge for staff. The goal of the project was to create a unique, employee-friendly workspace with the following key highlight features: welcoming reception space, open / exposed ceilings, and polished concrete floors. Additionally, the reception area has an attractive moss wall feature. There were a number of highly detailed elements in this project, one of the biggest being coordination of the exposed ceiling system and the integration of new wood ceiling elements. The success of this project came from our involvement during pre-construction doing site investigations, design and constructability reviews, and multiple budgets to ensure the client got the most for their money. By doing so this project came in below their budget allowing them to spend money on other elements of the project ie. artwork, furniture etc.
