COLIN GRAY SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, OPERATIONS

Colin has been with Govan Brown since 2006 and worked as both a Site Manager and Senior Project Manager. Colin graduated with honors from Mohawk College with a diploma in construction management (Architectural Technology) in December 2005. Colin is also a LEED and PMP Accredited Professional.

Trevor graduated with a Master of Architecture from the University of Michigan and holds a Bachelor of Architectural Science from Ryerson University and is LEED AP. After practicing architecture for 12 years and running his own business, he joined Govan Brown in 2014 to grow our Calgary office and oversee our western operations. His experience managing design teams and overseeing highly detailed projects has provided our clients and design partners with extra-value and insight from pre-construction to hand over. Through his comprehensive experience in many facets of design and construction Trevor understands the importance of the project team, collaboration and what it takes to successfully deliver a project and exceed client expectations.

She has extensive experience in the design and implementation of leading edge HR programs, practices and tools in dynamically fast growth entrepreneurial environments. Sarah's unique approach to creating a fun and engaging workplace is what makes Govan Brown's corporate culture a dynamic one. Sarah has been a big part of the growth of Govan Brown and along with her human resources duties, Sarah will be instrumental in shaping and implementing our ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility programs which will include the development and submission of an annual report. A big part of who we are includes our commitment to the communities in which we work.
With over 20 years of experience, Sarah has been with Govan Brown since 2013. A Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL), she holds a diploma in Human Resources from Sheridan College and a Bachelor of Science degree from McMaster University.
SAM CHOW CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Sam Chow joined Govan Brown as CFO in 2015. He oversees the finance/accounting and cost engineering functions and since joining the firm, has helped the organization manage risk and maintain control in a period of rapid growth and expansion. Read more
Sam collaborates with multiple teams across the company and is actively involved in various initiatives to improve business processes and aid the organization in better serving its clients. Sam has spent his entire career working in operational finance and prior to joining Govan Brown, has held various financial leadership positions for a number of companies (Malthus, AECOM, Earth Tech, IBM) in the construction, engineering and information technology industries. The one common theme through all his roles has been a focus on change management and helping the organization move in a new direction. Sam obtained his Honours Bachelor of Business Administration (HBBA) from Wilfrid Laurier University. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and achieved his Certified Management Accountant designation in 2006.

She is a strategic partnership professional involved with CRE. Genevieve received her Master Corporate Real Estate (MCR) and is greatly involved with CRE leaders, facilities, real estate and workplace professionals. Highly regarded as a connector, Genevieve has over 25 years of experience as an Interior Designer, Project Manager, Business Developer and CRM. Genevieve's passion is CRE Strategy and continues to be an integral role model supporting Govan Brown's philosophy to be our industry's innovators. Genevieve has been a Board Member of IFMA, Toronto CREW and is a member of CoreNet Toronto and CoreNet Global.
CHRIS DOBBIN VICE PRESIDENT, SITE MANAGEMENT
Chris Dobbin is the Vice President of Site Management at Govan Brown. He is responsible for managing all site personnel and ensuring projects are completed on time. Chris began his career at Govan Brown in 1996; just 2 years after Govan Brown's inceptions. Read more
As the only labourer on staff, Chris gradually worked his way up the ranks from Junior Site Super to Senior Site Super, then as the leader of the Service & Special Projects group and now as a our Vice President of Site Management. He has successfully completed dozens of interiors and renovations projects for Govan Brown with an emphasis on multi-phased, on site renovation projects. He is an excellent communicator and team player - essential characteristics for leading large groups of professionals. Chris' mix of on site and project management experience allows him to be a truly multi-faceted industry professional and an asset to the Govan Brown team.
ANDREEA JIANU VICE PRESIDENT, PROJECT DELIVERY
As the VP of Project Delivery, Andreea is responsible for providing oversight for a wide range of Govan Brown projects. In addition to personally managing the progress of her own projects, she guides younger project managers on how to achieve the best results for their clients. Read more

Having worked for major subcontractors, general contractors owners and as a consultant throughout his career he brings a wealth of experience in all facets of the project delivery chain. As Senior Director Repositioning, Rik will be responsible for overseeing the execution of client projects, enhancing operational effectiveness and contributing to the growth of our business in providing ground up turn-key projects.
SILVIU STOIAN VICE PRESIDENT, ESTIMATING

HANY YOUNAN DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
Hany is our Director of Operations overseeing our Kitchener office and projects in Southwestern Ontario. He is an organized problem solver who has experience coordinating projects from pre-construction through to completion. Read more
He has consistently demonstrated the ability to work with cross functional teams and this due to his strong communication skills. Hany’s main focus during the project lifecycle is to increase efficiency and recognize potential ways to improve cost savings while maintaining a project’s quality. Hany graduated from the American University of Sharjah with a Master of Engineering Systems Management (Construction Management) Degree and a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from the University of Shorouk.

He has been involved with construction projects of all sizes including some of Canada’s largest infrastructure projects, providing assistance on architectural specialties. He knows firsthand the importance of consistent communication, accountability, and realistic pre-construction schedules. Alongside project delivery, Benjamin strongly believes that honesty and transparency are essential to building successful long-term partnerships and exceeding client expectations.
JAMES CHAPMAN SENIOR DIRECTOR, COST ENGINEERING
James is the Senior Director of Cost Engineering for the Govan Brown organization. Since joining Govan Brown in 2006, James has spearheaded the company development and growth of cost control systems. James manages a team of Cost Engineers providing cost control and oversite to each project. Read more

Melissa is Govan Brown's Vice President of Federal Services. Melissa provides leadership and executive oversight on federal pursuit strategies in support of Govan Brown’s business development and growth in the public sector across Canada. A 20-year veteran in public sector infrastructure, Melissa has developed an expertise in leading high-performance sales teams and fostering strategic partnerships for both public and private sector clients. Most recently, Melissa held the position of Director of Business Development and Senior Account Executive at a leading Management Consulting/ Professional Services firm specializing in infrastructure and real estate. For over 10 years, Melissa managed their key federal accounts and launched new service lines in order to better serve the needs of their public sector clients. Melissa is a graduate of the Bachelor of Social Science program at the University of Ottawa. Driven by a commitment to give back to the community she proudly serves, Melissa is part of the Organizing Committee for the National Real Property Workshop and is a Volunteer at Interval House Women’s Shelter

Having received his Civil Engineering Diploma in 1979, Raymond has been with Govan Brown since 2012 and has been instrumental in developing and maintaining client relationships that have successfully impacted our brand in the Western market. With over 38 years of commercial construction estimating and management experience, 16 of those years in new building construction and renovations including civil projects in the Southern Alberta Region, Raymond has moved up from Project Manager to Project Director, and now Director of Operations. He is based in our Calgary office.

Prior to joining Govan Brown, John spent the previous 7 years of his career in the commercial services industry.
