UNIQLO opens its doors in Vancouver

Uniqlo launched its first store in Vancouver's Metrotown on Friday, October 6 and Govan Brown was in attendance to help reveal what we've spent the last year building. The highly anticipated store opened its doors to reveal a 20,000 square foot clothing haven spread over 2 floors. Uniqlo has slowly migrated into major Canadian cities having opened up 3 so far. In addition to the Burnaby location, 2 additional one's have opened in Toronto - the Toronto Eaton Centre and Yorkdale Shopping Centre. With its simple take on their brand, Uniqlo has grown exponentially since 1984, with over 1300 stores located in 15 countries. Uniqlo - comes from the words 'unique' and 'clothing.'
